'Flowers, they’re my favourite thing in the whole wide world'

An intimate British brand, Willow Crossley stems from an unadulterated love of flowers and their life-affirming nature.

Based in the Cotswolds, today it counts under its canopy floral workshops, private styling commissions, published literature, botanical collaborations, and a concise collection of handmade vessels and garden accessories all designed by the hand of its founder, Willow.

An eponymous British brand

It was not until later in life that flowers found Willow and that Willow found flowers.

Stepping away from the world of fashion journalism, she relocated to a vineyard in the south of France where she had her first baby and wrote her first book, The Art of Handmade Living. Another baby and another book followed entitled, The Art of Living with Nature, in which she scribed a section on living with flowers. It was this chapter that was to be her coup de foudre and the beginning of her lifelong relationship with flowers.

‘I have long been obsessed with making things, be that fabric-covered notebooks or posies of flowers for dotting about our home. Life can be so tough and our minds are often so densely consumed, that for me, flowers have provided an outlet to escape into and emerge feeling lighter, lifted. I deeply hope that we can provide a sense of that to whoever comes our way. Happiness is most definitely our purest purpose.’

Willow’s greatest love of all is designing – she lives to dream up ideas, to create and to collaborate with others. Whether that be a block printed wallpaper or a handblown vase, people come to Willow Crossley for original concepts and beautifully-made creations that always have the botanical world somewhere in their thinking.

As such, over the years, Willow Crossley has gently blossomed into a collective of incredible handpicked florists and specialist makers, united by their shared love of open-minded, imaginative design.

A PASSION FOR FLOWERS
