Collaborations

“Designing and working with other brands and individuals is one of my favourite things to do of all. It’s such a creative release.”

Collaborations come in many forms, which is a great part of their appeal – the span of people and purpose, and all of the wonderful opportunities that stem from joining hands with others. The same is true of event flowers, be they installations for fashion week or the handful of wedding flowers Willow designs for private clients.

Previous Willow Crossley collaborations have included seasonal flower arrangement classes with British brand Daylesford, event flowers for Meghan Markle’s book launch, luxury flower deliveries for VIP Chanel customers, and custom-designing wreath kits for Jo Malone and Tory Burch.

Designing wallpaper for Barneby Gates

“I have always been obsessed with wallpaper and so it was a sheer delight to begin working with Alice and Vanessa of Barneby Gates to develop two co-designed floral papers. I have such a thing for Rajasthani block prints and so used that idea to inspire the Maharani wallpaper that we coloured in a beautifully calming mid-blue and pretty plaster tone with plum detailing. The other design uses Mary Delaney’s woodcuts and my own love for wild, seasonal flowers. We called that one Botanica.”

A forest wonderland wedding for 500 at Blenheim Palace

“I remember this wedding so clearly. We filled one of Blenheim Palace’s main state rooms with oak trees, roses, peonies and sweetpeas – all British grown and pale and pretty in palette – on the hottest day of the year. The candles were melting down in moments and the flowers required such great tending to because of the heat. There were floral archways, ginormous arrangements in urns, and the space became the most magic forest wonderland.”
